VSPT Wine Group was founded in 2008 from the merger of two Chilean winemaking groups: Viña San Pedro (founded in 1865), controlled by CCU S.A., and Viña Tarapacá Ex Zavala.
During 2024, VSPT once again became the number one wine seller in the Chilean domestic market, as well as the leader in sales of premium sparkling wines, maintaining its leadership of recent years. Regarding exports from Chile, VSPT remained the second-largest exporter, increasing its shipment volume by 4% compared to 2023 and consolidating its commercial offices in China, the United States, and England. Globally, VSPT remained among the Top 20 wine-selling wineries.
Regarding environmental sustainability, in 2024 VSPT was once again reaffirmed as a Gold Member by the International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA), a milestone that reinforces its industry leadership on the climate change agenda.
Regarding innovation, for the sixth consecutive year, VSPT was recognized as Chile’s most innovative winery in the “Most Innovative Companies” ranking by the ESE Business School of the Universidad de los Andes.
Regarding results, VSPT’s total revenue in 2024 reached $282,638 million, 12% higher than the previous year. EBITDA was also achieved at $41,829 million, 30% higher than in 2023. Finally, a profit of $19,201 million was achieved for the year, 35% higher than the previous year.
VSPT Wine Group was born in 2008, from the merger of two Chilean wine groups: Viña San Pedro –controlled by CCU S.A. and Viña Tarapacá Ex Zavala.
This merger allowed the group to become the second wine exporting group in Chile and leaders in fine wine sales in the domestic Chilean market.
Currently, VSPT Wine Group is in the hands of CCU S.A. who have 84.70% of the share, Yanghe Destillery Co. have the 12.50% and the remaining 2.80% is owned by small shareholders.
VSPT Wine Group is comprised of six Chilean and two Argentinean wineries: San Pedro, Tarapacá, Leyda, Santa Helena, Misiones de Rengo and Viña Mar in Chile, and La Celia and Graffigna in Argentina. Such diversity allows us to produce wines from complementary valleys in both Chile and Argentina.
VSPT Wine Group develops activities which encompass the production, marketing, distribution and exportation of wine products.
The group has concentrated the production and bottling of its wines into three productive plants: Molina, Isla de Maipo and La Celia; which together, have a nominal bottling capacity of 88,445 liters per hour.
